Morgan and Nick were married on a surprisingly beautiful and sunny November day in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The day was amazing and boy, were these two adorable!
The couple were married at Clearwater Place located in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The venue is rich in history as it was the country’s first drinking water filtration plant built in 1912. The building has amazing architecture and that was one of the main reasons Morgan and Nick chose this venue.
We arrived early like we usually do to capture photos of the venue. We took photos of the outside of the building and soon realized why our couple had fallen in love with this venue. It’s so interesting and the architecture is beautiful. We went inside to find our bride getting ready in the large bridal suit downstairs. Her and her bridesmaids were getting their hair and makeup done by A Brushed Event. They all looked amazing! We then began to gather her details and wedding dress from Timeless Bridal Boutique. We took her dress outside to hang under the brick arches in front of the venue and that’s where we met up with the videographer. Nissa from NissaJ Photography + Video who was amazing to work with throughout the day! Next we set up the details on the brick steps leading up to the front doors of the venue. We wanted to incorporate the bricks to get the vintage, classy vibe!
Morgan and Nick wanted to do a first look so we set him up under the brick arches and had Morgan walk up behind him and tap him on his shoulder. He looked at her with such love and amazement. They had chose to read their vows to one another and they were so sweet and personable.
The ceremony was held inside under a metal arbor with white draping. The couple had their close friend/matchmaker officiate and she did great! The ceremony was short and sweet! As they walked back down the aisle the guests blew bubbles as Nick dipped Morgan for another kiss.
The reception was held on the other side of the ceremony with a large dance floor with lots of twinkly lights overhead. Dinner was catered by Gilmore Catering and it was delicious! They had yummy chicken and salmon with Caeser salad, green beans, and cheesy potatoes. For dessert the couple had cookies from one of our favorite cookie bakeries, Crumbl Cookie and donuts and mini cupcakes from Rise Bakery. The DJ from TNT Entertainment Music did a great job and had an amazing set up. For the first dance the DJ used a dry ice fog machine to make it look like the couple was dancing on a cloud. He also helped us organize a bubble send off! We lined up all the guests on the dance floor and had them blow bubbles as Morgan and Nick walked through! It was so fun worked out so well! It was great to be apart of your special day and work with such an amazing couple!
