Heritage Barn Co., New Era, Michigan, Summer Wedding | Sabrina & Curtis

Sabrina and Curtis were married on a beautiful Saturday at Heritage Barn Co. in New Era, Michigan. The day was amazing and full of emotion!

When we arrived Sabrina was getting ready in her bridal suit with all her bridesmaids and adorable flower girls, one of which was her daughter. Everyone’s hair and makeup was on point and looking beautiful thanks to Hair By Sheri! Sabrina had asked us to do a special photo with her daughter standing on a chair holding up her wedding dress. It turned out so cute! Such good idea that I hope we get to do again soon!

Sabrina’s dress was a ballgown strapless white dress with black lace cascading down into the shirt. Absolutely stunning! Her bridesmaids wore burgundy long dresses with a lace bodice. Her flowers were very unique. They were made with white, black, burgundy, and silver sparkly wooden flowers by Dawn Flowers. Curtis wore cowboy boots and jeans with a nice white button down and a black vest. However, the outfit wouldn’t be complete without a baseball cap which all his groomsmen were also wearing!

Sabrina wanted first looks with her bridesmaids, father, and future husband so we started with the bridesmaids. They stood outside the bridal suit and as Sabrina walked around the corner they all smiled and ran to hug her! For her first look with her father we took him upstairs where the reception would take place, at the top of the stairs. Sabrina walked up the stairs to tap him on the shoulder and when he turned to look at her he was in awe. They hugged for quite a while as they both started to tear up. They had quite an audience and as they started to cry so did everyone else! Sabrina’s dad handed her a gift. She opened it and it was a gorgeous pair of earrings that read “forever my girl”. Her mother helped her put them on as Sabrina gathered herself. Such a heartwarming moment and a long time coming for the couple since they’ve been together for nine years!

Then it was Curtis’s turn. We set him up outside behind the ceremony space next to a beautiful field of wildflowers. Sabrina tapped him on his shoulder and he turned to look at her. He smiled and they embraced. They then shared a few laughs and talked a bit before we took some pretty portraits of the couple next to the wildflowers. We then took some fun photos of the bridal party and then it was time to get married!

The couples ceremony was held outside behind the barn where the reception was. The ceremony was short and sweet. They had a cute moment where they poured their favorite whiskeys into a tiny barrel under the alter, then poured the mixed whiskeys into shot glasses and took a shot! So fun!

Shortly after the ceremony the reception began. The DJ (TW1 Entertainment) announced the bridal party and dinner was served. They had a delicious BBQ dinner with pulled pork and all the fixings.

After dinner the cakes and cupcakes were brought out by Gomez Cakes. They were delicious and beautiful. Then it was time for our couples first dance together. They were so cute dancing together. You could tell how much they loved each other and the comfort they felt with one another. Sabrina then shared a dance with her father. It was quite emotional, Sabrina and her father were both sobbing, as were the bridal party and a few guests. Then Curtis and his mother shared a sweet dance together.

When it was time, we stole our couple one last time for sunset photos in the wildflowers. They turned out STUNNING!

Such a beautiful and down to earth couple!

Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Victory! We were so happy to be a part of your special day and wish you nothing but the best!
